Hi!

Welcome to my practice.  Here is a little about me:

I started  my career working in the Foster Care System. In a span of over 20 years,  I  have worked as a Child Protective Investigator, Case Manager, and as an Adoption Case Worker. I have also been a foster parent and adoptive parent of 2 kids from foster care! I have always been passionate about helping kids in the system heal from their traumas. When I earned my Masters Degree in Counseling in 2011, it only made sense to  provide  counseling to this population. In 2017, I decided to work for the school system full time providing counseling to students who would otherwise not receive it.  Recently, I decided to work exclusively  in my private practice and find working with adults more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined! Also, during  the last 3 years, I have been  contracting with a company out of St Petersburg to provide Crisis Stabilization and support to residents and First Responders after  the hurricanes. Last season was busy!

If I am not working, you can find me with my  family,  friends,  and  my dogs . I love to read, watch movies, go  camping, sit on the beach,  and do jigsaw puzzles. I love to travel more than  anything and I am always planning the  next trip or two. Just ask me!

I provide compassionate care to individuals navigating mental health challenges with a focus on inclusivity and respect.  I help clients work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is rooted in empathy and evidence-based methods. I’m committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where all identities are honored. My goal is to empower you to cultivate resilience and emotional well-being.

I specialize in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution -Focused Therapy. I am trained as an Adoption Competent Therapist and in Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I am also a Qualified Supervisor.
